THE hot weather conditions brought some better golf scores for the women at the Mount Gambier Golf Club last Wednesday.

Playing a stableford competition, it was Helen Gregory who won A Grade with a solid 40 points.

She was closely followed by Karen Forster, who finished as runner-up on 38.

It was good to see the new members hold their own in the Division 2 competition, with Donna Jennings claiming the win with 36 points ahead of Julie Robinson with 35.

Forster, Robinson 35, Libby Altschwager and Carol Smith each received a ball for their efforts on the day.

In the long drive competitions, Gregory won the A Grade on the fourth and Heather Teakle won the B Grade on the 10th, while Mary Kentish took out the C Grade on the third hole.
