Trio chase island cup

INTERNATIONAL CONTEST: International Soccer Club’s Tyler Michielan, Apollo’s Harry Wilson and Gambier Centrals’ Fergus Shoemark will represent South Australia in the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup 2017 in December.

THE Limestone Coast will be represented in international competition by three Mount Gambier soccer players when the South Australian side heads to the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup 2017 in December.

International Soccer Club’s Tyler Michielan, Apollo’s Harry Wilson and Gambier Centrals’ Fergus Shoemark were identified by FFSA at state championships for inclusion in the South Australian squad.

The boys have committed to travelling to Adelaide to attend many camps and training sessions throughout the year to prepare themselves to compete against teams from the Oceania region.

The trio has competed against each other over the years for different clubs, but despite this have been great friends on and off the field.

The boys all attend Tenison Woods College participating in the new High-Performance Soccer Program.

Their dedication to working together is now giving them the opportunity to represent not only the region but the state on the international stage.
