Roos wounded in one-sided affair

PENOLA completed round seven of Barber Shield cricket on Saturday with another victory, after claiming the first-innings honours comfortably over West Gambier at McCorquindale Park.

The win was set up on the first day of play, with a solid century to David Somerfield, which saw the Eagles set an imposing 286 runs for a Roos victory.

But day two saw little joy for West, all out in the 63rd over for just 145 runs.
