AN INJURED teenager was airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to hospital in Adelaide after a vehicle accident in a pine plantation at Mount Burr on Thursday afternoon.

The 17-year-old suffered burns and a broken leg in the incident which police described as a set of freakish circumstances.

The teen was driving her vehicle with passengers along a remote logging track about 4km south of the Millicent Golf Club at about 3.50pm.

Her passengers told police the vehicle struck a pothole and so the driver stopped to assess the vehicle.

As the driver checked the vehicle, it rolled on to her and trapped her.

The accident scene was attended by police and ambulance units from Millicent as well as Country Fire Service brigades from Millicent and Mount Burr.
