Break-in investigated

POLICE are investigating a break-in and theft of machinery from a Wattle Range farm on Clay Wells Road that occurred some time between February 1 and March 9.

Stolen items include a Deutz tractor, slasher, tools, wood heater, gas stove, fridge and furniture.

The victim has recently contacted police to advise they now have security camera footage of the suspects.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit crimestopperssa. com.au to report online.

Police spokesperson Senior Constable First Class Rebecca Stokes said public rural crime, comprising theft of stock, machinery, fuel, equipment along with vandalism and trespassing directly impacts on the function of pastoral, agricultural and aquaculture industries.

“Rural crime comprises a flow on effect for farm owners, business and the wider communities who rely on these critical export functions and economy,” Sen Con Stokes said.

“The monetary value of rural crime can often be recovered, much more difficult is the recovery of time and work lost due to this victimisation.

“Police are actively investigating this matter and want anyone with information regarding this theft, or information regarding any rural crime to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
