Drug equipment fine

A FORMER Millicent resident who was discovered with three methamphetamine pipes in her vehicle has been fined.

Christine Louise Grosser, 30, appeared at the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court for sentencing for possessing equipment to use with a controlled drug.

The prosecutor said on June 27, 2019 at 9am, police received information there was an unauthorised person reported on site at a scrap metal yard near Mount Gambier.

She said police discovered a vehicle registered in the defendant’s name a short distance away from the property.

“There were three ice pipes located in the front left passenger side of the vehicle … the defendant refused to be interviewed,” the prosecutor said.

The court heard Grosser had a history of drug driving.

“I only just got out of jail and do not do anything for a job,” Grosser said.

Magistrate Panagiotidis ordered Grosser to pay a fine of $150 and court and levy fees totaling $596.
