Inquires under way as man targeted in shooting

Driveby TBW Newsgroup
SHOTS FIRED: Police respond to an alleged shooting at an Olinda Court home yesterday.
LIMESTONE Coast Police are calling on the community to help locate the people involved in a brazen drive-by shooting on Mount Gambier’s eastern fringe yesterday.

Police cordoned off much of Olinda Court yesterday afternoon following what they believe was a targeted attack on the quiet cul-de-sac.

A resident of the street was standing outside his property around 11.40am yesterday when a Holden sedan drove into the dead-end street.

As the car drove past, a man in the passenger seat allegedly produced a hand gun and fired shots at the occupant before driving off.

The man was not injured in the incident, which police believe was not a random occurrence.

Officers are also investigating a second incident at the home which occurred about 5.30am Sunday morning.

Damage was found on the back window of a car parked in the driveway which police believe was caused by a gunshot.

Contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au if you have any information relating to the two incidents.

Members of the public can remain anonymous.
