Drink drivers detected

THREE motorists were nabbed in Millicent for drink driving offences over the long weekend.

Police stopped a man on Southern Ports Highway, Millicent, on Saturday at 9.30pm, who returned a positive reading of .105.

The 39-year-old South East resident was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for six months and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

A couple of hours later a 59-year-old man from Millicent was stopped on Belt Road, Millicent.

He was submitted to a breath test and returned a reading of .068.

The man was issued with a fine.

At 12.45am on Sunday, a 29-year-old Mount Gambier man was stopped on Williams Road, Millicent.

The driver was submitted to a breath test and returned a positive reading of .122.

The man lost his licence on the spot for 12 months, was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at later date.
