Students perform well in WorldSkills SA

STUDENTS from across the Limestone Coast have taken part in the WorldSkills 2024 international competition.

The competition celebrates and promotes excellence in vocational education and training while offering a platform for young people from across the nation to showcase a variety of skills.

It also aims to contribute to bridging the skills gap across industries.

Throughout the Limestone Coast there were 15 winners with participation giving them an opportunity to gain experience, learn from peers and experts and set the stage for a successful career.

This year’s local heat involved many students who specialised in areas such as cookery, food and beverage service, electrotechnology, hairdressing and construction.
