IN Home Hospice Care Inc have recently introduced Kindred Connections, a new initiative set to launch in Mount Gambier/Berrin.

Kindred Connections will aim to bring together local charitable organisations, service clubs, and church and community groups for a common goal – building a resilient, connected community.

The initiative has been backed by sponsor Community Bank Mount Gambier and District branch of Bendigo Bank, reflecting their ongoing commitment to fostering community development and support through their community investment grants program.

Kindred Connection aims to create a platform where community groups can regularly interact, share insights, and work together towards common goals.

It is volunteer-driven and designed to help organisations maximise their impact, overcome challenges, and ensure that the needs of the Mount Gambier/Berrin community are met effectively.

There are several goals behind the initiative, including focusing on maximising community impact by sharing goals and missions, building stronger ties, keeping up with local events and community needs and strengthening community resilience.

Kindred Connections will provide more than just a networking opportunity, but will build a resilient and resourceful community where everyone works together for the greater good.

Manager of In Home Hospice Care Sandi Elliot and host of Kindred Connections said creating this network was important for long-term change.

“We believe that by coming together, we can achieve more and create lasting positive change in our community,” she said.

“This initiative is all about empowering local organizations to collaborate, share, and support one another in meaningful ways.”
