HUNDREDS flocked to the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre on the weekend for the Community Market.

Held by the Limestone Coast Market Network (LCMN), the market saw more than fifty stallholders with handmade gifts, accessories and plenty of food options.

The young ones were kept busy with a scavenger hunt, colouring in competition and play area.

More than $1,000 was raised for Four Reasons Why through the raffle on the day.

LCMN president Sue MacDonald said she was thrilled with the community support and the huge crowd.

“It was fabulous, the support was amazing,” she said.

“I heard a lot of people say the atmosphere outside was carnival-like.”

Stephen Esnouf provided the entertainment for the day, drawing a crowd of fans of all ages.

“We love him, he supports us with all of our markets – he’s fabulous,” Ms MacDonald said.

“The atmosphere out the front was amazing.”

The LCMN were eager to host the market again next year, but instead in July for a Christmas in July themed event.
