Paving the way to the future

Flinders University give students a VR walkthrough.

Whether it is the start of working life, or just time for a change, the whole Limestone Coast community is invited to see what job prospects are on offer.

Hosted by Naracoorte High School, the Pathways to a Pay Packet event is back, and is shaping up to be the best one yet.

Organiser Tammy Schinckel said there was a huge range of jobs and industries represented.

“I am hoping that it provides an opportunity for our community and anybody that has a point of connection, to be able to discover and find out things that they want to in order to make informed decisions about Career Pathways moving forward,” she said.

She said there were more than 60 organisations that will be there on the night, including banks, agricultural businesses, health providers, media organisations, local government, emergency services and much more.

There will be presentations from some exhibitors to provide more insight into some of the career pathways on offer.

The day will also provide an excellent opportunity for community members to see the great work done by the agriculture department at the school, with the Ag Open afternoon.

Meet the teams that will be chasing glory at the Adelaide Show and inspect the wethers and steers the students have been working with all year.

The Ag open day will start at 4pm until 5.30pm, followed by Pathways to a Pay Packet at 6pm at Naracoorte High School.
