Author, dietitian, and mindfulness practitioner Sallyanne Pisk will visit Mount Gambier Library to offer tips and strategies on how to make food and lifestyle choices to improve health and wellbeing this June.

Participants will learn the secret to changing your eating habits for good, without the diet gimmicks.

Ms Pisk is an accredited practising dietitian and mindfulness practitioner and combines a mindfulness-based approach with sound and practical nutrition and lifestyle advice.

“During my career as a dietitian and mindfulness practitioner I have heard the same thing several hundred times – ‘I know what to eat, but I just can’t stick to it,” she said.

“The aim of the talk is to share why diets don’t work and why it is not your fault.”

Library acting manager Sally Mann said they were excited to host the “worthwhile event”.

The free event will take place Wednesday, June 12, at 7pm and will include a supplied supper.

Bookings are required, contact Mount Gambier Library on 8721 2540 or book online.
