The Bordertown Over 50s Club had the pleasure of being entertained by David and Heather Hoffman with their top class singing and musical accompaniment and comedy banter.

In between songs club president Don Rosser joined in with some jokes.

The May 31 program began with a John Denver song Country Road, then Pure Love, Things, Golden Rings, and Old Time Country Hall.

The Hoffman’s asked the audience to join them with By The Light of The Silvery Moon, before continuing with Mr Man in the Moon, Lucky Lips, and I Remember You sung by Heather as a tribute to Frank Ifield.

Keith Lee got on stage with the couple and sang You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby.

Then Heather and David sang Engelbert Humperdinck’s The Last Waltz in harmony.

Heather then sang a good rendition of Mambo Italiano before finishing with the Seekers’ The Carnival is Over to end a beautiful program.

The Hoffmans are going to England and Scotland to entertain later in the year.

Entertainment for Friday, June 14, is Joe Musico a Warrnambool based country singer.
