Supporting the community in all stages of life

RIGHT FIT: Owner of Bare Necessities Lingerie Sharon Tuffnell will make sure you find the right fit when you visit her Commercial St West store.

A locally owned and operated business of more than ten years, Bare Necessities Lingerie is there to make sure you find the right fit.

Owner Sharon Tuffnell said she takes pride in her store being a part of the community and her staff offering the best customer service they can.

When someone enters the shop they are greeted like an old friend by the team of local employees.

“It’s about being part of the community, it’s an integral part of business, treating everyone equally,” she said.

Ms Tuffnell jokes she’ll often remember your bra size before your name.

She said Bare Necessities Lingerie has something for everyone at every stage in life, from the first bra, maternity wear, sports bras and offered specialty post mastectomy fittings.

On this, she said it was important that everyone was comfortable when they visited Bare Necessities Lingerie, and they were committed to making an intimate and personal experience a positive one.

“For the younger girls, we want them to know the importance of having a bra fitting and not feeling intimidated by it,” she said.

Ms Tuffnell said they also offered education around buying and caring for bras to ensure customers got the best outcomes.

“It’s because we’re passionate about passing on that knowledge to people about how to care for them, how to make them last longer,” she said.

“I’d rather you only buy a couple of bras every two years and know that you’ve got the right bra, the right fit, and they last you.”

Carrying leading brands from around the world, Ms Tuffnell said she was proud to offer quality products at good price points to her customers.

Plus Bare Necessities Lingerie is more than just bras, they offer a range of sleepwear, underwear, thermals, socks, hosiery and swimwear.

The shop at 65 Commercial St West is light and roomy, offers easy access and enables people with prams and mobility aids better access to the store.

Ms Tuffnell said she loved being part of the Commercial St West shopping precinct and would not have it any other way.
