BLA president receives prestigious award

AT home on the Corriedale Park range, a World Archery 60/900 over 60, 50 and 40 metres was offered in parallel to a 30 metre Geelong round.

Ben Kilsby managed to end his round with a perfect 60 points in the 60 metre section of the World Archery event, which gave him a head start to the winner’s circle in the final scores.

Although Dale Tschirpig managed to maintain his hot streak with the targets, he was unable to catch Kilsby as he trailed by 14 points.

Following for the runner-up rank was Alex MacDonnell who came close to pushing Tschirpig out of second place by just two points, leaving him to claim third.

Blue Lake Archers president Ian Harris also accepted a prominent state-level award during state presentations in Adelaide.

Harris received a trophy to be recognised as the ‘Best All-Round 70+ Male for 2023 which was presented to him by Archery SA president Bruce Lang OAM.

Upcoming events include indoor archery at the Blue Lake Gymnastics Club, Malseed Park on Friday at 7pm, followed by outdoor archery at Corriedale Park 12.30pm Sunday.
