St Martins wins best float

Building our Lives on Jesus by St Martin’s Lutheran College has won the Most Outstanding float in the 2023 Mount Gambier Christmas Parade.

The float featured student dressed as tradespeople who were ‘God’s Construction Crew’ and celebrated Jesus as the schools cornerstone.

City of Mount Gambier community events officer Liana Golubic thanked the schools, businesses, community and sporting groups and the many volunteers who helped bring the magical event to life this year

“It was incredible to see the spirit and creativity of our community, sparking smiles and laughter from all watching along Commercial Street,” she said.

Entries competed for prizes judged on energy and engagement, creativity, and effort.

Judges scored the floats in the various categories, with the following floats receiving awards.
