MEMBER for Barker Tony Pasin’s annual prostate cancer barbeque fundraiser is back once again.

The Big Aussie BBQ, run in conjunction with the Limestone Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group, will raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Mr Pasin said he has held the barbeque every September since 2015 to coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

“Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have raised thousands of dollars for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia,” he said.

“But most importantly, we’ve had hundreds of conversations over the BBQ over the years and if just one of those conversations led to an early diagnosis that saved a life – it’s all worth it.

“I encourage community members to leave your lunch at home and enjoy a snag and a chat.”

The Big Aussie BBQ will be held from 11:30am on Wednesday, September 20 outside Mr Pasin’s office on Commercial Street East.
