Radio 5THE FM has submitted an application for a temporary broadcast licence.

After losing their broadcast licence in December last year, local community radio station 5THE FM has recently announced it has lodged an application for a temporary community broadcast licence.

The application has been sent to the Australian Communication and Media Authority and Tim Borgas from South Australia Community Broadcasting Association was acknowledged for his support and assistance in preparing the application.

A 5THE FM representative stated on social media: “This is the first major step on our journey to get our community radio station back on air and transmitting to you from our Mount Burr transmitter site.”

The station continues to stream its content which can be accessed through the Community Broadcast App and played via digital devices.
