Recapping the best of February 2022

NEW YEAR: Mount Gambier High School principal Annette Ryan with Year 7 students Payton and Mackenzie as they start the school year.

February started off better with the Border Watch revealing a commitment to redevelop the Mount Gambier saleyards.

On February 4, the Border Watch reported that the District Council of Grant’s bid for federal funding for the redevelopment of the Mount Gambier saleyards had been boosted with the Labor Party pledging $2.7m to the project if elected.

The then-state Government followed with a promise of funds as well.

facility.”

Students across South Australia became the first cohort to start high school in year 7.

Construction began on the $63m state-of-the-art timber plant at Tarpeena.

On February 25, it was reported that the Limestone Coast will not receive any of 51 additional ambulance officers that had been promised by the State Government and all would be posted to Adelaide.
