DISTRICT Council of Grant thanked three former members of Council for their service over the years.
At the Council meeting on Monday, December 19, Mayor Kylie Boston paid homage to former mayor Richard Sage and former councillors Gill Clayfield and Shirley Little.
Ms Boston said their contributions to the community in their roles with Council were greatly valued and recognised by all current Council members.
The three were invited to the meeting to be honoured in person and address Council, but only Ms Little was available to attend.
Ms Little told Council she had enjoyed her time there and that she would miss working with Council, but she had called time on her 28-year Council career to prioritise family.
Her address was also a little tongue in cheek as Ms Little said she would be keeping an eye on everyone to make sure they remembered there was life north of the airport.
Mr Sage and Ms Clayfield will also receive a gift basket as thanks from Council at a later date.
