A 66-metre stretch of Hedley Street will become a no-parking zone.
At a meeting this week Mount Gambier City Council resolved to pass the recommendation that a section of the street close to the intersection with Jardine Street become a permanent no parking zone.
The change will be in effect between 10 metres south of the intersection between Hedley Street with Jardine Street, to 75 metres south of the intersection.
Council was prompted to make the update after the Manager Operations and Engineering received a complaint from a resident on Jardine Street, regarding safety concerns at the intersection.
The council wrote to residents along the effect portion of road, to which only one response was received in favour of the no parking zone.
