A Xmas Angel

DRESSED TO IMPRESS: Angel the American Staffordshire Terrier with her owner Christine Jackson having lunch on the footpath at Bloom cafe in Mount Gambier this week.

ANGEL, the three year old American Staffordshire Terrier, spread some Christmas cheer among residents of some of Mount Gambier’s aged care facilities this week.

The former rescue dog was looking resplendent in her Christmas costume and attracting plenty of attention from passers-by in Mount Gambier’s Commercial Street when The Border Watch photographed her with owner, Christine Jackson, having lunch outside Bloom cafe.

The pair had just visited The Oaks Aged Care Facility to deliver some Christmas cheer and was about to do the same at Resthaven.

A regular visitor at these facilities, Angel is a pet therapy dog and delivers happiness to residents just by being her patient doggy self.

“She’ll take pats all day,” said Christine who retrained Angel from a frightened rescue dog to being completely trustworthy in all circumstances.
