THE third annual Nine Lessons ‘Carols and Culture’ service in nine languages will be held at Mount Gambier’s Anglican Church on Sunday from 6pm.
Organised at the initiative of Father Neil Fernando, the gathering will involve different denominations, multi nationals and cultures.
The service will include offerings in Sri Lankan, Norwegian, German, Swahilli, African, Indian, Italian, South African and English languages with performances by Phoenix and Christ Church Choir along with choirs from other churches and organisations.
It is expected that the Carols and Culture event will draw a strong audience given that the earlier two performances were so well received.
Fr Neil says that current Covid-19 restrictions make it necessary for people to book their pew seat and this should be done by email to christchurchcarols@gmail.com
Tea or coffee will be available on the church grounds at the end of the service.
A collection will be taken during the service and this will go to support Food Bank in Mount Gambier.
