TATIARA District Council has received $700,000 in federal funds to complete a $1.4m Bordertown Caravan Park upgrade.
The major development includes new cabins, removal of permanent onsite vans and outdated cabins and other improvements.
Member for Barker Tony Pasin said the project – awarded funding through the Building Better Regions Fund – would provide substantial economic and community benefit, integral to the future sustainability of the township.
“It’s projects like this that will transform communities and help ensure our productive and vibrant region remains strong, resilient and prosperous in the long term,” Mr Pasin said.
“The development will seek to deliver an increase in the number of visitor nights and expenditure in the region and improve the district’s capacity to host and attract events.”
