Mount Gambier women one of ‘lucky seven’ lotto winners

BIG WINNER: A Mount Gambier family will look to build a new home after winning more than $500,000 in Saturday’s X Lotto draw.

A MOUNT Gambier woman has confessed she has already been shopping for a new block of land after scoring division one in Saturday’s X Lotto draw.

The woman held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in X Lotto draw 3979, drawn on Saturday with each entry taking home a prize of $573,928.68.

The winner revealed she had spent her Sunday afternoon looking at blocks of land to buy.

“I did not quite believe it when I checked on the app on Saturday and realised I had won,” she said.

“I did not expect that kind of shock when I was just sitting at home on the couch.

“We have not done anything to celebrate yet as we were waiting for this phone call to confirm the win.

“We went looking at blocks of land though – that is how we will use the windfall, building a new family home.”

Despite the win, the happy winner confessed she was off to work as usual this week.

“It will be hard to keep the news under my hat as I will be smiling from ear to ear but I will try,” she said.
