Discount directory to benefit region’s seniors

MORE than 380,000 South Australian Seniors Card members can access more discounts than ever thanks to the new 2019 Discount Directory Your Lifestyle Guide.

Intergovernmental Relations and Ageing director Jeanette Walters said the new directory featured hundreds of discounts, from travel, home and garden, shoes and clothing to fitness, education, retail and recreational activities.

“The directory is a great way for South Australian seniors to be active and connect with their wider community,” Ms Walters said.

“Members can be inspired to try out a new hobby, dine out at a new restaurant or learn a new skill.

“This year we have discounts on offer from 767 business partners, which is more than we have ever had and there are 6870 outlets offering discounts.

“We’re grateful for each and every one of these businesses for making it possible to provide so many great offers to the over-60s.”

The 2019 guide features more practical information about technology and online safety, concessions, planning ahead, energy saving and consumer advice like buying a car or house, ladder safety, online shopping, refunds and scams.

The directory also showcases original photographs submitted by Seniors Card members in the 2018 Through the Lens photographic competition.

Seniors Card members can find further details at www.sa.gov.au/seniorscard or pick up a copy from one of 400 collection points across South Australia.

Permanent South Australian residents aged over 60 and working less than 20 hours per week in paid employment are eligible to be a South Australian Seniors Card member.
