Unique program released

ASPIRING community leaders across the Limestone Coast are urged to apply for a unique opportunity being delivered by the local government sector.

The Limestone Coast Local Government Association, together a number of funding partners, will roll out a regional leadership program.

An information session will be held tomorrow at the Mount Gambier PIRSA office at 9 Krummel Street from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The program aims to support the emergence of local leaders to build a diverse cohort of people representing the community.

Running from February to August 2019, scholarships for the program will be managed by a steering committee.

The innovative program, delivered by Leaders Institute of SA, is open to individuals who are ready to broaden their leadership capabilities.

It is hoped the program will develop people for boards, councils, community leadership, industry, project development and governance, as well as sport and recreation.

Applications are now open and close November 9.
