Council projects to progress

MOUNT Gambier City Council will progress a number of engineering projects across the city this month.

Footpath construction on Swallow Drive is 90pc completed, while road reconstruction on Sturt Street (between Bay Road and Compton Street) is now under way and is 10pc completed.

The extension of the Rail Trail from Pick Avenue to Jubilee Highway East is now 60pc completed.

Crews have started road reconstruction on Helen Street in the city’s central business district, with the project 5pc completed.

Fit-out works at the reuse market on Eucalypt Drive are 80pc completed, on track for the facility to open later this year.

Hotmix intersections at various locations across the city are 30pc completed.

Crews have wrapped up a road reconstruction project on Heaver Drive and footpath construction on Kennedy Avenue is complete.
