TOURISM Mount Gambier and Mount Gambier City Council will host two information sessions about a collaborative Guides of Mount Gambier program next week.
Guides of Mount Gambier will uncover local stories and deepen the experience of visitors to the region through paid guided tours.
The program will lead to certification for new guides, the opportunity for existing businesses to participate, development of branding and marketing and the creation of three guided walks.
Existing businesses and individuals can get involved by contributing stories, becoming a guide, guiding mentor or storyteller.
Two information sessions will be held at eNVIsion Limestone Coast on Tuesday, with the first session from 10am to noon for new guides, mentors and storytellers.
A second information session will be held from 2pm to 4pm for existing businesses.
