Farm group milestone

THE MacKillop Farm Management Group is set to celebrate 20 years since its inception on June 22 at Naracoorte Town Hall.

Local identity and Landmark agronomist Craig Hole will host the night, which will include impromptu chats with those who have been significant to the group over the past 20 years.

Attendees will enjoy a three-course meal showcasing local Limestone Coast produce, music from Ben Hood and historical memorabilia showing how the group has evolved into the well-respected research partner and member-driven information provider it is today.

MFMG has been through many changes since 1998, growing from the original 15 members to over 360 with expansion into the Tatiara and inclusion of livestock research.

“Hats off to the committed people who established MFMG 20 years ago,” chair Louise Stock said.

“Their foresight, vision and significant contributions have shaped the organisation to be a driver of research, development and extension for mixed farming in South East SA and western Victoria.”

All are encouraged to attend the night as it is an opportunity for those involved in the agricultural community to network with other growers, agribusiness professionals, industry pioneers and innovators.

Contact Louise Stock on 0407 711 576 for information.
