THE Port MacDonnell Men’s Shed recently hosted Grant District Mayor Richard Sage to demonstrate the use of new safety tools and equipment purchased with the support of the council’s community grants scheme.
The grant allowed members to purchase an electrical testing safety device to test all appliances and a dust extractor to improve air quality in the shed.
Inspired by the backyard shed that has long been a part of Australian culture, the Men’s Shed is open to all men regardless of age, background or ability.
The Port MacDonnell Men’s Shed is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am until 1pm and is located on Elizabeth Street in Port MacDonnell.
