Veterinary drugs stolen

POLICE are investigating the theft of drugs from a Mount Gambier veterinary clinic on Sunday.

Sometime between 9pm on Sunday and 7.30am the following morning, thieves stole a quantity of injectable veterinary drugs from a car parked at a clinic on Hirth Street.

Limestone Coast Superintendent Grant Moyle warned it would be “extremely foolish” for anyone to use the drugs.

“A variety of drugs were stolen, including animal steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs and sedatives – all formulated for animals and very dangerous if used by humans,” Supt Moyle said.

“It would be extremely foolish if anyone were to use those drugs.”

Supt Moyle said police were conducting inquiries and urged anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
