Wind farm land lease income guaranteed

THE purchaser of a Tantanoola farming property will have a guaranteed income from its eight leased wind towers for up to 28 years.

The towers are among 112 operated by Infigen Energy as part of its Lake Bonney wind farm along the Woakwine Range.

A lease is currently in place until 2036 with a right of renewal for a further 10 years.

The property measures 206ha and is one of four parcels of land currently on the market through a Mount Gambier firm.

In all, the land measures 705ha and the selling agents suggest it would be a profitable grazing and cropping enterprise.

Among the other selling features are stockyards, shedding and some irrigation.

Expressions of interest in the four parcels must be submitted in writing to the agents by February 16.
