HUNDREDS of exhibits from Boneham Aged Care Services residents are entered in this weekend’s annual Millicent Show.

Residents of the Millicent aged care facility collect plenty of accolades each year for their entries in such categories as vegetables, crafts, cooking, jams and flowers.

They have won a number of $500 vouchers for the champion rose which have been donated each year by McCourt’s Garden Centre.

As usual, a contingent of Boneham residents and staff will be venturing to the opening day of the show tomorrow to view the exhibits and see the number of ribbons and certificates they will be taking home to Williams Road.

For the past nine years, lifestyle coordinator Debbie Cavanagh has arranged for the paperwork and delivery of the exhibits.

Ms Cavanagh told The South Eastern Times male and female residents are involved in the show.

“We have 20 cooks, six gardeners, six knitters and two scrapbookers putting in entries this year,” she said.
