2020 Tenison Woods College Swimming Carnival

McAuley claimed victory with a total of 1771, 180 points ahead of runner-up Woods.

MacKillop and Champagnat finished third and fourth with 1450 and 1293 points respectively.

Aleisha Pearson and Elijah Stratford were both crowned Under 14 male and female age group champions, while Madison Smith and Riley Turnbull were Under 15 winners in their respective categories.

The Under 16 male champion was Thomas Bignell and the top female was Hayley Pearson.

Leading the Under 20 divisions were Kiah Connolly and Ethan Michielan, claiming top prize in female and male divisions.

Aleisha Pearson and Elijah Stratford were joint junior swimming champions both ending on 118 points.

Hayley Pearson and Thomas Bignell also tied on 120 points both taking home senior swimming champion.

Records were broken by swimmer Hayley Pearson smashing the 50m freestyle in 29.61 seconds and 50m Butterfly in 30.43 seconds.

The 50 breaststroke and 50m backstroke records were broken by Thomas Bignell finishing each in 27.19 seconds and 32.44 seconds respectively.

Both top eight shootout events – involving the fastest male and female over 50m freestyle – with winners Hayley Pearson and Thomas Bignell were both new records, with Hayley finishing in 29.55 seconds and Thomas in 27.37.
