Koonara Wines’ pop-up bar at the rail

AROUND 3000 people flocked to The Rail on Friday night for Koonara Wines’ pop up bar event.

The popular event is now in its fourth year with Koonara creative and marketing director Sally McDonald stating is one of the business’ favourite events.

“We are always so grateful for the support we receive at the pop up every year,” she said.

“We love putting it on and seeing everyone enjoying themselves on the night.

“I think it’s been going from strength to strength every year so it can only get better.”

With live music from Michael Ferguson and Christo and a set by DJ Justin, patrons enjoyed the atmosphere at the Mount Gambier Railway Lands.

Ms McDonald said the support received from the food vendors at the event was integral for keeping it going every year.

“They’re obviously a huge part of our event so we are really lucky to have them on board,” she said.

“It’s a massive event to put on for all of us and we could not do it if we did not have local food businesses supporting the night.

“Everything went perfectly, we could not have asked for a better night.”
