LITTLE authors and illustrators were celebrated last week at Penola Primary School’s book launch.
Year 2 and 3 students hosted the special event to show friends and family what they had been working on all year.
The children have learnt about different types of books and chose topics to write their own books about.
They created books of various genres and illustrated them with colourful pictures to match.
Teacher Issy Dihm said she was pleased with the support the event received.
“I cannot believe how many family members and friends turned up for the kids,” she said.
“The whole purpose of publishing books is for someone to read it so it was great they came out and supported them.
“We even made photocopies so the students could sign them and give them to their loved one to take home.”
