TENISON Woods College students gained an early insight into the forestry industry recently when they planted pine trees for OneFortyOne Plantations.
Children from years 1 to 7 participated in National Schools Tree Day when they attended an OFO site and planted dozens of trees.
Full of enthusiasm, the students learnt about the sustainability of the forestry industry while participating in the tree planting exercise.
The relationship between the school and OFO will continue with students returning to the site in the future to see the progress of their plantations.
