Mount Gambier’s Community Living Australia Biggest Morning Tea

MOUNT Gambier’s Community Living Australia (CLA) branch held its annual Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser last week, raising close to $500.

The morning tea was held at the Mount Gambier Library with food donated by businesses, in addition to being made by CLA clients.

CLA team leader Taylah Plate-Hamson said the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea was an important cause to support.

“The whole team believes it is a really great thing to do and raise awareness for,” she said.

“It is also an opportunity to get our clients out in the community as they all go out asking for donations and running stalls to raise funds.

“We have had donations form different businesses in the region, as well as from the public, which we are extremely grateful for.”

Ms Plate-Hamson said CLA has hosted annual Biggest Morning Tea events for many years and hopes to continue the tradition.
