HUNDREDS gathered in the heart of Penola in honour of Anzac Day last week, showing their respects to the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The official ceremony started at the Penola War Memorial Park at 7.30am, before the traditional march left the park for the Coonawarra and Penola Returned and Services League for a gunfire breakfast.
