LOCAL SUPPORT: Lifeline South East chairman Michael Fuller is joined by Mount Gambier Mayor Lynette Martin and Solomons Flooring’s Scott Davies to view the kitchen tile renovations. Picture: JAMES MURPHY

COMMUNITY, business and local government support for Lifeline South East was on show this week, following generous help to improve the organisation’s warehouse building.

Solomons Flooring donated tiles to refurbish the deteriorating staff room and toilet facilities at the complex, while Mount Gambier City Council provided funding to install the tiles and also improve the driveway to the site through a community development grant.

The existing flooring in the staff room had become a safety hazard and, after approaching Solomons for a quote on any old stock, Lifeline was provided with new tiles and a measure at no cost.

A morning tea was held on Tuesday as a thank you to both parties, with Solomons Flooring representative Scott Davies and Mount Gambier Mayor Lynette Martin both present.
