Naracoorte High School in line for $5m redevelopment

MAJOR SPEND: A design concept of the Naracoorte High School art and design facility.

NARACOORTE High School students will benefit from a new sport change room and agricultural learning space as part of a $5m upgrade to the education facility.

The upgrade will also include refurbishment of a building providing art and design facilities, including three general learning areas, two outdoor learning areas, amenities and communal spaces.

The recently released concept designs show the works to be completed, which also includes the construction of new change and amenities block adjacent to the art and design refurbishment.

Member for MacKillop Nick McBride said the release of the designs would allow families and students to visualise the refurbishment and the “huge improvement this project will make to the whole school facility”.

“It is imperative that as a government, we provide as up to date education facilities as we can, especially for students in regional areas,” he said.

“The refurbishment of these buildings will improve the learning experience for all students.

“I look forward to seeing the upgrades finished, ready for students to use in Term 1 2022.”
