FOOD outlets at the Mount Gambier Marketplace will be excited to have guests dine-in at the food court once again when restrictions are eased in a fortnight.

Highlighting a tough few months, Marketplace marketing manager Paula Creasey said Friday’s announcement was the final step in a return to normality for the complex.

“It will be great to get back to the new normal because all our retailers restrictions have been eased making this will be the final stage for us,” she said.

“The food court is a large part of the atmosphere of the Mount Gambier Marketplace, so it will be great to have some people spend a bit of time here.”

Ms Creasey praised the food outlets for their innovation in adapting to the unprecedented circumstances when restrictions first came into effect in March.

“Many have offered home delivery and pick-up services and there have been a number of other great initiatives they have developed along the way,” she said.

“For those who rely predominantly on the food court traffic, it has been a little tougher.”
