A MILLICENT business owner has temporarily turned her shop window into a children’s art gallery with dozens of decorated rainbows containing messages of hope.

Alternate Life owner Marg Chapple said the community had strongly supported her initiative to bring some positivity to Millicent.

She said the work of the youngsters would help to counter the uncertainty and anxiety caused by the spreading COVID-19 virus.

According to Ms Chapple, the so-called Corona Rainbows Trail has taken off around the world.

“I would encourage other Millicent businesses and shops to display rainbows as well,” Ms Chapple said.

“Thank you to ever started this Corona Rainbows Trail idea and for my daughter-in-law Rachael Chapple suggesting it to me and for my grandchildren for all their work on their rainbows over the weekend.”

“I would love as many rainbows with positive messages as we can get,” Ms Chapple said.

“I have huge windows at Alternate Life and would love to end up doing all four windows if we get enough.

“It is a work in progress and I cannot wait to see it finished.”

Her windows at her George Street business usually display health products, however, Ms Chapple said it was appropriate to use them to bring positive messages at this unsettling time.

Decorated rainbows are still being accepted for display at Alternate Life at 51 George Street.
