LIMESTONE Coast residents are being encouraged to make the most of extra time at home to complete ‘do it yourself’ jobs before the winter weather arrives.
Among those hoping to supply the region’s households with the necessary supplies for home improvements is Crowies Paints, with the Mount Gambier business not immune from the significant impact the COVID-19 outbreak has had on the region.
Sympathizing with businesses and individuals impacted by the health crisis, Crowies Paint Mount Gambier store manager Heath Lambert urged people to remain upbeat despite the self-isolation advice and look to start or complete projects around the house.
“We regret that a number of people in our community may have more spare time on their hands than they anticipated,” Mr Lambert said.
“We are happy we are able to provide those people with an opportunity and the right product and advice to make a lasting improvement to their home during these times, or to get to that project that has been on their ‘to do’ list too long.”
Entering what is typically a peak season for the national business, Mr Lambert said there had been a notable influx of customers visiting the store, which has measures in place to adhere to all government coronavirus regulations.
This includes a callback service to cater for people unable to contact the store, with paint able to be shipped to the customer’s door or worksite to avoid unnecessary travel.
Mr Lambert praised his team for the professionalism during the busy period and extended thanks to customers for their patience during this time.
