Travel journey leads to home

TICKET TO TRAVEL: Penola’s Caitlan Lambert will return once a week to help Penola residents follow their travel dreams.

AFTER almost a decade as a travel agent with Mount Gambier-based B&P Travel and Cruise, Penola resident Caitlan Lambert will return home to a new office.

The Penola office will be located within Pinkerton Palm Hamlyn and Steen’s real estate office and will cater for residents seeking an international or domestic adventure.

Ms Lambert will work from the office one day a week to provide professional and independent advice to all worldwide destinations.

“I enjoy the personal side of planning clients itineraries because you can make their dreams a reality,” Ms Lambert said.

“Sometimes it’s a once in a lifetime adventure for them.”

With a breadth of travel experience, Ms Lambert said India was a major highlight.

“There are things in India that you cannot see anywhere else in the world,” she said.

“But I also recently returned from a trip from New York City and Canada which was one of the bigger itineraries that I have taken so far, it also included a Princess Cruise.”

Ms Lambert said South Africa was also a popular destination among clients due to its diverse range of activities.

“It is versatile in the fact that couples, families and kids alike can go there and experience a safari holiday – which I highly enjoyed while there,” she said.

Ms Lambert said the Penola office would help individuals access facilities easier.

“We hope that having a presence in the town will encourage locals who do not already use an agent for their travel needs to support a small locally owned business and to avoid the inconvenience and uncertainty of booking online” Ms Lambert said.

The office opens January 22 and will be open from 9am to 5pm every Wednesday.

Contact 0437 217 104 or 8725 7888 or email caitlan@bandptravel.com.au to make an appointment.
