DECORATIVE SCENES: All in Balance accountant Brad Tilley has long wanted to add some colour to the buildings’ outside facade since purchasing the George Street office last year.

ALL in Balance has a bright new mural painted on the side of its business, with accountant Brad Tilley deciding to shake up his white collar business via an old friend with some spray paint.

Mr Tilley said he wanted to add some colour to the building’s outside facade after purchasing it in April 2018.

After consulting with a few friends about how to prepare the surface and concepts, Mr Tilley got in touch with an old friend “who I heard had some talent with paint cans.”

“I left the concept up to the artist,” Mr Tilley said about the subject matter.

The artwork features an anime-style graffiti artist spraying a multitude of colours everywhere.

The artist is from Millicent, however has asked not to be publicly named.

“Broadly, I was looking for a bright, colourful caricature that would catch the eye of passers-by,” Mr Tilley said.

“We have named him ‘RAD’.

“We will be continuing the artwork the full length of the alleyway over the coming months with more characters to be added along with other surprises.”

The mural on All in Balance joins recent public art works by Kitt Bennett, a giant squid on the skate park and Mimby Jones Robinson’s kaleidoscopic water goddess on the old George Street bank.

“I’m a passionate supporter of new and varied styles of art to improve the aesthetic of our town,” Mr Tilley said.

“Living and working in areas that are bright, vibrant and inspiring improves the well-being of people along with providing visitors with an added incentive to spend time in our town.

“I hope more building owners and businesses get on board.”
