Time for star Limestone Coast line-up to shine on dancefloor

Swinging With The Starsweb TBW Newsgroup
READY TO SWING: The dance floor at The Barn will heat up tonight as eight of the South East’s biggest “celebrities” hit the stage for the annual Swinging with the Stars event.

ONE of the Limestone Coast’s biggest nights of the year is here with eight “celebrities” gearing up to bust a move at The Barn Palais tonight for the Swinging with the Stars event.

With the bar raised each year, the 2019 crew has set the standard with the event selling out in record time, according to Stand Like Stone executive officer Georgie McKay.

“I do not think I have seen tickets sell out so quickly,” she said.

“It all comes down to the competitors we get on board, they do the hard work and get the people to come and it proves how well they are doing when they get this much interest so quickly.”

Ms McKay said the entrants should be highly commended on their efforts ahead of the weekend’s event, stating she is thoroughly impressed with the competition’s calibre.

“Everyone is looking amazing so far,” she said.

“We had dress rehearsal on Sunday and they were all doing beautifully, we are really impressed.

“In the lead up to the event they have all been amazing raising money for Stand Like Stone – I think they have all pulled off some of the most professional and unique fundraisers that we have ever seen.”

Ms McKay said there are no front-runners for this year’s competition, with every entrant able to steal the final prize.

“It is kind of funny actually, all of our contestants have a different idea of who is going to win, so it is really anyone’s game,” she said.

“I think the judges are going to have a really hard time picking a winner this year.

“We are expecting an amazing night overall and we cannot wait to see how it all pans out tomorrow night.”
