Saleyards attendees encouraged to support Swinging with the Stars fundraiser

COUNTRY FLAIR: Swinging with the Stars contestant Liz Rymill will don her best tutu today for her final fundraiser at the Glenburnie Saleyards.

PINK tutus will be a must-have at the Glenburnie Saleyards today as Swinging with the Stars contestant Liz Rymill holds her final fundraiser.

Agents, vendors, buyers and other attendees are encouraged to don a tutu for today’s store sale, with donations for the Stand Like Stone Foundation also accepted.

Ms Rymill said she wanted to involve the wider community in this year’s fundraisers.

“I have been hoping to tap into a few different networks around the region, such as the clay target and the agricultural communities,” Ms Rymill said.

“I also hope to get into networks I have who may not have much to do with the Stand Like Stone Foundation.”

Ms Rymill said the pink tutus are a “visible way” to support the foundation.

With the monthly sale attracting people from far and wide, Ms Rymill hopes to gather support from the event.

“There are good prices for livestock at the moment,” she said.

“I think a lot of people will be there which will be great for us.

“Hopefully there will be plenty of pink tutus among the crowd.”

With just over a week to go until the big Swinging with the Stars night, Ms Rymill urged the public to donate to the foundation.

“Stand Like Stone is a great way to support the community as they provide fantastic ways for future projects to go ahead,” she said.
